Travel from the highest mountains in Vietnam, through hill-tribe villages on our way to south along the Ho Chi Minh trail. Jungle tracks, national parks, battlefields, royal citadels and along the coast to Hoi An make this a complete adventure.
We take an overnight train to the border with China, climb to the highlands and hill-tribes of Sapa, the terraced fields of Mu Can Chai, across the Black river and join the Ho Chi Minh trail on our way south through jungles, ancient cities and views out on to the East Sea. The final leg follows the track that the BBC crew took over the Hai Van pass to Hoi An. Northwest to Hoi An on the our Ho Chi Minh Trail motorbike tour.
Destinations: Hanoi – Lao Cai (overnight train) – Sapa – Sin Ho – Mu Cang Chai- Phu Yen – Mai Chau – Pu Luong – Vinh – Phong Nha – Khe Sanh – Hue – Hue – Hoi An.
Our routes are flexible depending on the riders experience from smooth paved roads to off road and dirt tracks.
The Ho Chi Minh Trail has been upgraded to a national highway that is free from traffic and makes for easy riding along the border with Laos.
On tour, the accommodation is a mix of village Home-stay where we eat with our host, and sleep in houses on stilts to hotel with AC, WIFI and hot showers.
Meals on tours take the best of local cuisine and picnics in the hills, we take of coffee in the morning to afternoon refreshments and great local dinners.
